Justice for Survivors Wisconsin is reaching out to former patients of Dr. Darren R. Ellenbolt. Darren Ellenbolt permanently revoked his medical license in the state of Wisconsin on January 18, 2023, after it was discovered that he was keeping detailed, graphic, sexual, handwritten notes about female patients and their bodies. These female patients included children.
The Wisconsin Medical Examining Board’s Conclusion of Law related to Darren Ellenbolt’s conduct as a family medicine physician is as follows:
“By the conduct described in the Findings of Fact, Respondent engaged in sexually explicit conduct, sexual contact, exposure, gratification, or other sexual behavior with or in the presence of a patient, a patient’s immediate family, or a person responsible for the patient’s welfare as defined within Wis. Admin. Code § Med 10.03(2)®.”

As we attempt to contact potential victims, we are not including any specific details related to the content because we want to protect their privacy as much as possible. In addition, we know and respect that some potential victims may want to know the details regarding how they are involved, while others may not. We do not want to take that choice away from anyone.

We understand that investigations such as this are known for being slow. However, we do not want it to end up being the case that the potential victims were never notified.
